For two days this week, we had rose-breasted grosbeaks at the bird feeder.  They’re not often seen in our area and must be migrating back to cooler climes in the northern U.S. or Canada.  It’s been at least a decade since we saw the last ones.

    1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pine grosbeak. I recently read that there also is a blue grosbeak, and I think that must be what I saw the other day. What I saw wasn’t a blue jay or a bluebird or an indigo bunting, all of which we do see around here. I wish I had taken a photo.
