The Word a Week Photo Challenge this week, hosted by A Word in Your Ear, is bisect.  Perhaps these two rain-swollen creeks can be said to bisect…

    1. We’ve had torrential downpours this summer. About an hour before I took this photo, I was playing in the larger creek with my daughter and 3-year-old grandson. The sun was shining, and the water was relatively shallow and crystal clear. We had a great time. When we got out to eat dinner, the rain came, and the water rose very quickly. The house sits higher than it looks, so there was no danger of flooding, but we were under flash flood warnings. In fact, it rained like that again today, and water ran down our road like a river. And there’s more to come.
