The snowball bush (also known as snowball viburnum) by our fence is beginning to bloom.   It is a lovely flowering bush with blooms that look similar to those of a hydrangea, but the leaves are smaller and are a lighter shade of green than those of hydrangea plants.  A friend gave us a start of the bush some years ago, and my husband planted it alongside the old wooden fence by the road.
