This is my shoe which broke today.  I was travelling around our small town, running errands, and had just entered the supermarket when I noticed something about my shoe didn’t feel quite right.  I could tell it had split open, so I limped my way through the store, trying to keep the shoe from flip-flopping.  By the time I got home, the shoe looked like this…

Broken shoeIt was an inexpensive shoe, and I’ve had it almost 20 years, so I guess it has done its duty.  Even so, I’m sorry to see it go.
