Shocked and dismayed by the violence and terrorism perpetrated this day by white nationalists and white supremacists in the U.S., I pray…

From the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer

Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage:

We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove
ourselves a people mindful of thy favor and glad to do thy will.

Bless our land with honorable industry,

and pure manners.

Kindness

Save us from violence, discord, and confusion;
from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way.

Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes
brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues.

Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust
the authority of government, that there may be justice and
peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we
may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth.

  1. a constitution to be proud of and a very good photo essay.
These issues have surfaced in the US and have their roots in history. But fears are everywhere and such fears can cause us to become violent. We must give due consideration to both sides else we in turn cause greater dissent between factions – just as a mother who favours one child prompts the rivalry and hatred of the other.
“Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats ; do not be frightened.”” 1Peter 3:13-14

  2. There is no excuse for such evil. There is only one side to consider right and that’s the side which is against slavery and extermination…the things white supremacy favors. We must always communicate what is right even when it is difficult to do so. People were literally beaten in the streets by Nazis doing so.

  3. Every time i hear about something negative going on in the news a little song plays in my head just to remind me there”s still some good people in this world. This quote is a translation of this song.

“Living life in harmony, you can’t go on living alone
That’s what the pains that I have so much of, that I can’t tell all of, told me.

Be it a road that we walk together, it should also be a road, that we build together
As we tread this long road with the just the importance of both our lives

Living life in harmony I’m just feeling under this sky
The prayers and wishes that I have so much of that I can’t tell all of, they go on to make an endless future
    Living… I’m just feeling
I’m connected through the lives that I have so much I can’t count, to you.”
